Date of Wedding: 25th February 2012

How did you meet: We went to high school together and have been friends since we were 15 – nearly half our life! It wasn’t until 7 years ago though that we became a couple.

How long did you spend planning your wedding? We had ideas before we became engaged about what we wanted and probably more importantly, what we didn’t want at our wedding. We were engaged for 11 months and luckily we agreed on most parts of the wedding so it wasn’t too hard at all!

Number of guests: 95

Describe the theme of your wedding and why you chose this theme: We wanted a classic, elegant theme. In saying that though, we just wanted everyone to have fun and for it to be more like a big party/celebration.

Colour scheme: Ivory, Black and Blue – groom is a big Cronulla Sharks supporter!

Ceremony location: Italian Village

Reception location: Italian Village

Describe the Brides dress: Full length ivory lace dress from Dressense at Miranda.

Describe the Bridesmaids outfits:Elegant long black dress from a boutique shop in Leichhardt.

Men’s suits: Classic black suit, ivory shirt and black tie

Photographer: Frank Selmo of Your Photography Pro

Hair & Makeup: Michelles Belles Make-up

Stationery/ bonbonniere: For our bonboniere we had black white and blue M&M’s custom printed with our photo, names and wedding date on them. They were very cool and a bit of fun!

Cake: 2 tier ivory cake from The Cake Studio at Sans Souci. We also had Cake Toppers – the groom wearing a Cronulla Sharks jersey of course.

Flowers: Ivory roses and lizianthas from Sylvania Flower Studio.

Entertainment: The Hard Rockin Amigos – Max and Dave were absolutely fantastic. They had the whole crowd up and dancing and singing all night to all the great rock hits!

Transport: An old Valiant that has been beautifully done up…. in sharks colours of course!

Honeymoon: 10 Nights in Hawaii

Describe your day: We could not have asked for anything better. Everything went to plan. The staff at Italian Village were fantastic, the food and drinks just kept coming and the music was awesome. We had such a great time. It flew by so quickly that we couldn’t believe when it was time to go.

What were your favourite parts of your Wedding Reception: Italian Village is just amazing. The exposed brick, the decorations, food, drinks, service, music and atmosphere just made it perfect. We can’t choose one thing!

Any Tips for Future Brides & Grooms: Everyone says it, but, the day really does fly by so just enjoy it!
